Our Home Environmental Inspection Services

Symbols of environmental balance, such as we'll establish in your home

Willow Environmental, LLC provides a wide selection of services. We have the experience and expertise to assure the safety of your home and family.

Mold Evaluation
Mold can be a serious health problem, and we recommend testing to determine the type and extent of the existing mold. Some mold defects can't be seen and will only be detected through air sampling, so Willow provides a full-house inspection, collecting air samples and swabs in specific areas where needed. Our Certified Industrial Hygienist on staff can give recommendations on how to eliminate the problem if the mold is harmless or can offer referrals for removal of harmful mold.

Lead Painting (XRF) Testing
The EPA recommends that all houses built before 1978 be tested for lead-based paint. Lead paint is poisonous, and as it ages it can peel, chip, and form lead dust. Willow performs an XRF test that reads through all layers of paint. Reports include all XRF readings and a recommended action summary.

Radon Reduction Systems
Radon is an odorless and invisible gas, which occurs naturally as a byproduct of the breakdown of uranium. Long term or chronic exposure to radon has been linked to major lung problems. Utilizing strict EPA protocols, Willow tests for radon in air as well as in water. If radon is found in unacceptable levels, Willow is a certified NEHA contractor able to provide Radon Reduction Systems.

Asbestos Testing
Many building components may contain asbestos, such as insulation, floor tiles, mastic roofing, and sidings. When disturbed or damaged, asbestos can cause significant health threats. Willow is licensed and trained to inspect and obtain samples for asbestos testing.

Water Testing
We conduct full water testing for the following hazards: chemicals, bacteria, VOCs, lead, and  radon.

Underground Oil Tanks
As a home owner, you should know that you are responsible if your oil tank leaks. A leaking underground oil tank can cause expensive ecological damage. Bare steel tanks can corrode and leak oil into the ground and groundwater. These tanks are buried in the ground, and even though leaks usually go undetected, the home owner is liable for petroleum cleanup costs. Willow is an experienced provider of all services associate with underground oil tanks, including locating, testing, removal, installation, and remediation.
